About
Ballarat Swans
The Ballarat Football Netball Club is the 3rd oldest Australian Rules Football Club in Australia.
Having been formed in 1860 (Melbourne & Geelong FC's were formed in 1859), the Club's rich heritage has survived world wars, ever changing social environments and every other challenge that 'grass roots' football throws its way.
Today, the Club is based in Alfredton, a heavily populated, developing suburb of Ballarat.
It hosts 3 senior football sides - (Seniors, Reserves and U/18's,) 6 Junior football sides and 3 Netball teams.
It's social base is the million dollar Alfredton Sports and Community Club, which was largely built on volunteer labour and generous supporter donations.
The AFL legend, John Northey is the Coaching Director with Sean O'Loughlin succeeding John as Senior Coach
